In 2002 God moved powerfully among the young people attending Whangarei CRF. As many of them lived in the Bream Bay area, a youthchurch was established in the area. As things naturally progressed, the youthchurch evolved into a daughter church of Christian Renewal Fellowship in 2003.
The founding pastors were Isaac and Dominique Cates, who moved on to live in Auckland in early 2008. Shaun and Raneeta Curtis (former assistant youth pastors of CRF Whangarei) are now the senior pastors.
Bream Bay CRF is a vibrant community church which has a big vision for God and is endevouring to be His hands and feet to the townships south of Whangarei.
